A DREAM ACQUISITION…

Historic, important and very, very rare, the Coins of the Twelve Caesars Collection is the dream acquisition for any collector. This is your chance to make that dream a reality!

THE TWELVE CAESARS…

A genuine relic from the earliest days of one of the world’s greatest empires, the Coins of the Twelve Caesars Collection comprises twelve genuine Ancient Roman coins. The collection was inspired by The Twelve Caesars, a book written circa 120AD by Suetonius, secretary to Emperor Hadrian. The book details the life and reign of each of the first twelve men to rule what would become known as the Roman Empire, and the collection features a coin of each of those rulers.

A ‘WHO’S WHO’ OF ANCIENT ROME…

A wondrous presentation, the Coins of the Twelve Caesars Collection reads like a Who’s Who of Ancient Rome. Julius Caesar, Augustus, Caligula, Claudius, Nero…giants of history, and names that reverberate down the ages. To hold these coins is not just to hold the history of the Roman Empire in your hands – it is to hold the history of the entire modern world as we know it!

AS RARE AS IT IS HISTORIC…

With some 2,000 years having passed since these coins were issued, it will come as no surprise that the Coins of the Twelve Caesars Collection is extremely rare.

One of the most famous characters in history, the coins of Julius Caesar are always highly sought after and notoriously rare. Coins of the ‘evil emperors’ – Caligula and Nero – are also extremely rare, with much destroyed after the two were deposed and murdered. Titus ruled for just two years, whilst the reigns of Galba, Otho and Vitellius each lasted a mere matter of months. With little currency issued, the coinage of all four is excessively rare. As a result, the Coins of the Twelve Caesars Collection is seldom offered.

AN IRRESISTIBLE OPPORTUNITY – BUT ACT NOW!

A rare opportunity, we are delighted to have two collections available. A presentation ‘par excellence’, each 12-coin collection is set within a lavish, lockable black timber case. A Certificate of Authenticity is also included, along with a copy of Suetonius’ famous book.

Whether you pay now, or take advantage of our layby terms, you must grasp the opportunity to become the proud owner of the Coins of the Twelve Caesars Collection. Add to cart now!

THE RULERS...

A lavish presentation, and unquestionably rare, the Coins of the Twelve Caesars Collection comprises a coin struck during the reign of each of the following rulers…

Julius Caesar (47-44BC) – among the most famous names in history.

Augustus (31BC-14AD) – the first Roman Emperor, and many say the best.

Tiberius (14-37AD) – reign was notable for the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Caligula (37-41AD) – cruel and violent: one of the most infamous emperors.

Claudius (41-54AD) – underrated, but capable successor to Caligula.

Nero (54-68AD) – perhaps the most infamous of all Roman Emperors.

Galba (68-69AD) – murdered in 69AD after a conspiracy led by Otho.

Otho (69AD) – reigned 3 months during the Year of the Four Emperors.

Vitellius (69AD) – ruled for 8 months, before overthrown by Vespasian.

Vespasian (69-79AD) – created stability after the Year of the Four Emperors.

Titus (79-81AD) – much loved, and his premature death caused great sorrow.

Domitian (81-96AD) – ruled with terror until assassinated at the age of 35.
