This postal numismatic cover is highly collectable, featuring a pictorial envelope with a 50c coin from the 30 Years Of Postal Numismatic Covers stamp issue.
This cover marks 30 years since Australia Post released the first postal and numismatic cover (PNC) in 1994. The first PNC issued on 14th April 1994 commemorated the International Year of the Family and included a coin from the Royal Australian Mint. In 2004 we marked the 150th anniversary of the Eureka Stockade with the first PNC with a coin from The Perth Mint.
This 30th anniversary limited-edition PNC houses a commemorative coin produced in 2024 by the Royal Australian Mint for the National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC). NAIDOC Week 2024 (7 – 14 July) held special significance as it commemorated the 50th anniversary of a fully Indigenous-led National NAIDOC Committee.
