Beginning with the first $1 commemorative, the International Year of Peace 1986 $1, the RAM’s $1 series has played a key role in celebrating key events and institutions in Australia. The 1988 Bicentennial $1, 1996 Henry Parkes $1, 2005 WWII Dancing Man $1, and more, this series comprises a range of much-admired types. Crucially, it also comprises several extremely low mintage issues. Headlined by the Decimal Currency 50th Anniversary 2016 $1 – one of the lowest mintage decimal issues, just 560,000 struck – this collection also includes the Qantas 2020 $1 (mintage just 2m!) and all FOUR low-mintage issues from the WWI Centenary Spirit Lives $1 Series. The 2015 WWI Centenary $1 had a mintage of just 1.4m, with the 2016 (2.19m), 2017 (1.9m), and 2018 (2m) issues seldom seen in change. Even if you did find these low-mintage issues in circulation, or, indeed, any coin in this expansive collection, it would not be in the mint state quality seen here. As good as the day it left the RAM, every coin in this collection is in Uncirculated condition.
